According to Times Higher Education (THE) magazine 2014/15 world college rankings, putting the California Institute of Technology in top spot for the fourth continuous year.
Harvard University has held second place, while the University of Oxford has slipped one spot from joint second to third, Stanford University holds fourth place and the University of Cambridge has climbed two spots to fifth.
The worldwide alliance table uses 13 different execution pointers to analyze a college's qualities; including exploration, information exchange, universal standpoint and, particularly among worldwide rankings, the educating environment.
While the UK has lost three colleges from the main 200 rundown - the University of Reading, the University of Dundee and Newcastle University - London keeps on commanding with the best amassing of top notch colleges. Four peculiarity in the main 40 - more than some other city on the planet.
